Plan the compressed-air supply for an arc spray installation. Confirm demand under load, air quality, distribution and the exact equipment requirements.

Compressed air is a major utility in twin-wire arc spraying. Depending on the chosen arrangement, it can support atomization and an air-operated wire drive. A pressure reading at an idle supply point is not enough to confirm that an installation is ready.

Request requirements for the quoted model

Ask for the required air delivery, operating conditions and connection details for the exact gun and drive configuration. Keep the distinction between compressor capacity, distribution losses and conditions at the equipment connection clear. Use the manufacturer's installation information rather than a value borrowed from another gun.

Consider the complete air system

Review the compressor, treatment equipment, distribution piping, hoses and other simultaneous users with a qualified specialist. Air quality and delivery stability must meet the equipment requirements. Include access for inspection and maintenance of the air-treatment components in the workshop layout.

Plan verification before production

Agree how the utilities will be checked during commissioning and recorded. If the process becomes inconsistent when other machines start, note that operating pattern when requesting support. Do not compensate for a supply problem through unapproved changes to the coating procedure.
