A useful maintenance programme makes equipment history easy to understand. It should be based on the supplied manual, operating duty and observed condition. A generic calendar alone cannot establish when every component requires attention.

Organize the record by assembly

Separate the gun, wire feed, power source, electrical connections and air system in the record. Identify the model and relevant spare-part references. This helps distinguish a gun issue from a utility or feed-path problem when performance changes.

Record findings, not just ticks
